Midget Head Coach: Ricky Young

Coaching Tenure: 1975 - 2019

Rick Young coached the Fairview Youth Football team from 1975-2013 where he dominated the league where his teams earned 15 Blount County Championships, 8 League Championships, and 4 undefeated seasons (1990, 2002, 2010, 2011). 

From 2014 - 2019 Coach Young took the head coaching position for the WB Middle School Fighting Govs. His tenure lead the Fighting Govs to 1 conference championship and 1 undefeated season (2015). Coach Rick Young also earned a 2 time Conference Coach of the Year.

Peewee Head Coach: Justin Paul (JP)

JP has been coaching youth baseball and football since 2019, bringing dedication and energy to every team he leads. He remains actively involved in the community, both on and off the field. Outside of coaching, JP is a passionate sports fan and an avid golfer. His ongoing goal is to strengthen the William Blount program while helping young men grow into strong leaders in sports and in life.

Grasshopper Head Coach: Maurice Hurd

Coaching Tenure: 2020 - 2025

Coach Hurd's love for the sport of football comes from his years playing on a peewee all to his senior year where he graduated from William Blount High School.

Coach Hurd experiece comes from 4 years as head coach of his daughters softball team, and from the 2024 season where he led the Grasshoppers to a winning season by making the Blount County Playoffs!
